The BT Synergy 5500 has similar features to the Synergy 5100 but with the addition of an integrated answer machine. The BT Synergy 5500 has SMS text messaging and a SIM card reader/writer. With up to 250 names and number directory there is hands free capability with adjustable volume control. A bright blue backlit LCD makes reading the information on the BT Synergy 5500 easier.
