Portasol Technic Gas Soldering Iron
The advanced ‘Portasol Technic’ gas catalytic soldering iron will run up to one hour on its internal gas supply. Gas (ordinary lighter fuel) is held in a resevoir inside the iron and a patented catalytic converter provides the heating at the tip (there is no flame during soldering). Conversion rate is adjustable to set tip temperature to a maximum of 400oC. The iron delivers power equivalent to a 60W electric iron so it can cope with full size jobs. Portasol Technic comes complete with protective cap and can be carried in the pocket like a pen. Supplied with 2.4mm tip. A range of five tips is available: 1.0, 2.4, 3.2, 4.8mm and knife tip.
